KOBO: Art of Making paves the way between past and present, moving towards the future through its brand and products.

Taking a leaf off Arranging Things: A Rhetoric of Object Placement by Leonard Kohen, KOBO looks into discovering the sensuality found in objects as well as their placement in a space.

Coupled with the humbleness of masters and the sensual nature of crafting, this design-art installation presents works of 20 Japanese making facilities from 17 different prefectures in Japan; a glimpse into the process of craft.
More than just a collection of items, the heart of KOBO is the idea of collaboration. Going beyond physical borders and overcoming the language barrier, the KOBO label showcases the best of contemporary design and age-old making techniques.
In the Art of Making, we obsess over the fertile act of creating with materials from the womb of Earth.
